Daria is a visual artist working with sculpture, drawing and photography. Her practice involves casting, repetition, and assemblages of made and found objects. Frequently appearing animal figures explore non-verbal relationships between human and non-human species, drawing on themes of affect, learning, and shared histories. Through object-animal hybrids, she develops new symbols, mythologies, and fragmented narratives.

Her work oscillates between the oneiric and the mundane, engaging in processes of archiving and fantasising, with elements of playfulness and nostalgia for popular material culture. Objects mutate randomly, maintaining decorative aspect while becoming obscure.

A feeling of having control and losing it is a deliberate choice in her work. Using materials such as wax, she incorporates processes that exceed her full direction, allowing chance, heat, and material agency to shape the final form. The balance between intention and unpredictability is a recurring concern across her practice.
